“ Ambience is pleasant. It's a family restaurant with bar. Food variety is extensive. Special mention for the quantity served. All the portion size is huge hence order accordingly. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. ”
“ If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food in Kolkata, this is definitely one of the best places to visit. The taste feels genuinely authentic, and even the ambience gives you the feeling of dining in a proper Chinese restaurant. I especially loved their fried rice and sweet & sour chicken — both were flavourful and tasted just like authentic Chinese cuisine should. The pricing is slightly on the higher side, but it is absolutely worth it for the quality and authenticity you get. I also found out that the restaurant is Chinese-owned, which probably explains why the food tastes so authentic. ”
“ Visited here to meet an old friend and the food here was good. Although the same cannot be said about the service. The staff was a mixed bag, we interacted with one person who was really helpful, while the person serving us was lazy as hell. I asked him for the menu after having our food to grab a cup of coffee, though he gave us the menu but he never came back to take the order. Lastly when we were billed, he had the audacity to add a whopping 75 rupees tip for himself. I had to ask him to cancel the tip because I found it to be too high given the service he provided. I would probably never go here again just for the behaviour of that staff. ”
“ Felt like dying Zamindari - what is there is only legacy and past grandeur. We also came for dinner but it was like showing respect to a legend rather than enjoying every morsel of grain. Food is ok, could be much better keeping in mind that it was one of the three original bastion of culinary delight in Kolkata. Mainland China, Royal China, even Beijing restaurants tastes better now. Service is ok with lot of people to take order and serve. In fact there are more service team than required making the place more cramped. The polish is not there, even lot to improve in etiquette given that this is an elite property. Even the sauce bottles and pepper salt plastic cases on table top look old, out of place and boring. No improvement has gone in for ages. Fine dining concept era has just been missed out. Location is prime but the entire front side is opaque walled like 50 years ago and just giving it some glass large window can give it exotic looks. No upgrade or imagination has gone in. Property like these can be turned around by groups like TAJ or Oberoi and real authentic Chinese looks can be inducted. Sad state of affairs. Still people are coming in mass and standing in queue as they are ok with this. It is like you have come to eat - so eat and don’t expect any fine dining experience. Wish if only management makes an attempt to upgrade the entire looks, menu and prep up service team. I wish all the very best and hope this place turns around. Had come with father and uncle and now bringing son and daughters - we just love this place. Slowly the young generation are refusing to come here….it pains me. ”

The Schezwan Drum of Heaven was perfectly spicy and crispy, and the Wonton Soup was simply amazing — comforting and delicious. A great place for Chinese food lovers. Highly recommended! ”
